How Dysfunctions Impact- Team building


Preparatory of Team Building activity is Trust and responsibility. A leader initiating this need to build up trust among team members. Use personal histories and examples related to past. Leader need to overcome Dysfunction in between the members.

The five dysfunctions need identified to overcome are:

·         Lack of Trust : Foundation of team work & it takes time. Need to be maintained.

·         Conflict Fear : No conflict without Trust, Can vary & uncomfortable, but must be heard out & discussed. Result should be positive

·         Commitment issues :Assuming & ambiguities left apart, clear understanding on decisions.

·         Accountability Absence: All members need to equally accountable and poor performer made to improve by peer pressure

·         Not oriented on results : Team become stagnant, fails frequently & members look for own growth instead of team success.
